‘Mamaji’ Chouhan is poised to return as the MP CM amidst ifs and buts By Radhika Ramaseshan S hivraj Singh Chouhan beamed in his recent pictures but he can’t be entirely relaxed. “Mamaji”, the moniker by which he’s known in Madhya Pradesh, seems set to get a fourth term as the chief minister after the Congress government was unseated last week, but until the BJP’s central command speaks its mind, nothing is certain. That’s how suspenseful matters are in a regime that is fashioned by the likes, dislikes and diktats of a domineering duo although the appointment of JP Nadda as the BJP president might have tweaked the dynamic a bit. It’s hard to say because these are early days. Gopal Bhargava, who was brought in after the BJP lost the state elections under Chouhan’s stewardship.
